17th November 2011 Wealden 3 vs SFL Final Score: 25 vs 45

This wasn’t the greatest game that has been played on a Thursday although credit to the defence from the SFL team who made it very difficult to get the ball into our shooter.

As always our circle defence of Hattie and Lucy (player of the match again!) played exceptionally well making lots of interceptions which kept us in the game for the first half when we were only 6 goals down.

Unfortunately although the attack were working hard getting the ball to the goal third the GK played very well and we found it increasingly difficult to create shooting chances.

On the positive in attack Amy, Emma and Trudy worked constantly to get the ball to the circle edge rather than forcing the long balls and this helped with our possession and enabled Trudy to play herself in and put the shots up while Clair our shooter drew the defence away.

We can definitely improve on the score next time around!
