Wealden U16's were invited to play a touring Australian U16 School team on Easter Monday. 11 Players were able to make the holiday fixture and Phil Webb and Jose Young were their coaches on the day.
A very strong start saw Wealden take a convincing lead of 17-7 after the first quarter. Phil was using her National Squad and made several changes in order to get different combinations on the court.
Every player put and extraordinary amount of effort into their time on court, the shooting stats would have been very high and the defence were strong in every combination.
Many congratulations to the players and to Phil who has worked so hard to bring these girls up to this standard.
They are off to the National Tournament at the end of May - their squad is very strong and very capable - good luck girls!!
