Wealden Amber 16 v CFX Merlins 0
Warmed up and ready for their game, the U10's took the first quarter by storm with Alanna Cross starting the game off well as C. Phoebe Norman and Leonie Fernandez combining well to score 4 goals. Defenders were strong with CFX not getting many chances to get the ball into their shooting circle.
Second quarter, Gracie Kohler GD worked hard to get the rebounds and passed the ball out well to get the attack going again. Wealden demonstrated consistency with change of direction, accurate passing and interceptions galore.
The third quarter saw Grace MacAuley put up some amazing shots alongside Anya Webber. They were ready for every rebound. Bea Cheverton and Phoebe Norman intercepted the ball again and again.
Everyone was committed for the final quarter and Captain Kayla Brown led by example and showed great movement in the circle scoring several goals to increase the final score. CFX were unable to score today, but they did have some good movement and passing on court, meaning Wealden had to stay focused throughout the game. Well done to all the girls for putting all your training into match play.

Wealden Red 16 Vs 13 Eynsford 2
Avoiding the traffic all players were warmed up ready for their game by captain Louisa and supported by Jess.
The first quarter was a low scorer for both teams with Wealden leading 3-2. Anna was watching carefully and had some side line advice and when she stepped on the court for the second quarter as GK she stuck closely to GS and limited her opportunities to shoot. At the other end Lucy was in her full stride and alongside Ellie helped Wealden pull five goals ahead. Louisa lead the centre court but had strong support from Sophia, Annie and Katie.
The start of the second half, saw strong performances from the Wealden defenders but Eynsford kept us on our toes.
Last quarter Wealden showed their determination to hold onto their lead with Ellie being strong as GS and Jess and Chloe-Jane working in partnership to limit the Eynsford shooters accuracy.
Well done to all, a well deserved win.
Thank you to Mollie Goodwin U16 for being the team manager, organising change overs and giving some helpful advice, Maz Thomas- scorer and Sally Baker for umpire mentoring.

Wealden Blue 4 Vs 21 Langton Cedar
Unfortunately a loss for the Blue's today. However the score does not reflect the work effort throughout the whole match. We chased balls, made great interceptions and defended fantastically for the first half of the game. Our problem today we couldn't get the ball into our shooters. Sometimes this was due to bad luck with balls bouncing off our feet, other times it was due to footwork and placement of our passes. We worked so hard to get the ball but then lost it by passing it directly back to the opposition.
The team stayed positive and set ourselves the goal of scoring in the third quarter. Isabella, rose to that challenge and with great movement in the circle and with Alice and Libby feeding the ball in, we finally got on the score sheet!
Josephine worked incredibly hard as C and showed great fitness as she drove up and down the court. Charlotte put lots of pressure on as WD and supported the attack well.
As mentioned the score does not show the whole performance of the team. Special mention to Elise for producing some great shoulder passes, Lucy for great balance and arms as GK, Chenade for picking up the lose balls and rebounds and for Rose for keeping on going!
Thank you to Sally Baker for umpire mentoring.

Wealden v Langton Birch 15 - 20
Black team worked extremely hard against a much taller and older team. Defensive circle made some brilliant interceptions and the attack worked hard to get the ball into the circle past the very tall defence.
Centre court worked well to bring the ball through the court with Izzy Fassnidge literally flying across the court. She continued to have an amazing game even after we patched her up and was awarded POM

Wealden v otford Rattlesnakes 22- 10
All the girls took to the court warmed up and ready to play. We struggled to move the ball through the court in first quarter and spent most of the quarter behind the defending players. The girls re grouped at the first break and got in front of their players and didn’t crowed the same space during the rest of the game. Coach made some changes and brought Tara on as WD and she made a massive impact at this position slowing the feed into the circle and turning lots of ball over. Sophie guarded the circle as GK and was extremely affective with Holly as GD.
Great win for the Green teams last game. Well played ladies.
