Starting off with a great first win for Wealden Emerald at Sevenoaks Junior Netball League. An even game fought right to the end. One amazing interception by the WD turned the ball over and allowed the team to score, with a final of 34-32.
Then over to NWK where Wealden 1 started the day at 09:00 with a 42-31 win against Vibrant. Started strong with a number of converted turnovers. The team pushed the lead out throughout the rest of the game, making seamless substitutions throughout. Excellent space creation and shooting from our shooters and intercepts and rebounds from the defence.
Wealden 2 then took on Tonbridge 1, they had a string first quarter followed by a disappointing Q2. Not disheartened by this they pushed on in the second half to take the win 56-54. Excellent ball control and placement throughout and a superb debut defensive performance for Alice, being pulled up from the U18’s.
Wealden 3 had a comfortable win against Chslehurst 1, 52-33, with a dominant attacking performance and finally Wealden 4 rounded off the day with a top-of-the-table clash. Taking the win 46-36.
