Congratulations to the U14 A (automatically qualified) and U16 A team who played an amazing tournament today to regain a spot in the Junior County League for next season. Our B teams lost out in the playoffs but played some incredible netball all day! Thanks to all the coaches, umpires and committee members who were there supporting all day, plus a fantastic team of parent supporters too!
20/06/24 - Another fantastic win for Wealden A last night against Mavericks - 36-30! Was a close one all the way, 9-9 first quarter, 21-16 second, and 28-21 third - a steady lead building but was a warm night and Mavs didn’t give up! Still top of the table. POM Ellie - awesome shooting and Ellie Macauley did a fab job umpiring proving she’s ready for her C test!
11/06/24 – Great win by Wealden B tonight! 70-16 with pretty much full-court changes at the end of every quarter due to light defence! POM Chloe 05/06/24 - A massive win over Phoenix tonight. 45-25. Well done all and congrats to Macey Prebble POM! 23/05/24 - A good solid win for the U18s last night. 33-10. Saints 2 didn’t manage to score a single goal in the last quarter! Happy faces all round from the girls. Double win today for Wealden with Wealden Black’s final score 64-28 and Wealden Green’s 57-22.
POM Alice Murray and CPOM Hannah Alderman for Wealden Black. Maddle Nagel was POM for Wealden Green. Successful morning for both teams!! What a morning! With both teams low on numbers this week, the seniors had to rely on some of our juniors to help out and didn’t they do well!
Wealden Green had a closely fought match ending in a 51-51 draw against Goldwyn - POM Ellie B. Wealden Black stormed their game with a 72-56 win against Peregrine Falcons – OPOM Macey Prebble and CPOM Milly Reeve. Thank you so much to all those who helped out - the future of Wealden looks very exciting with these fab players coming up. W4 started off the day with a strong 58-51 win over OBA2, finishing Div 6 in 1st place and securing promotion. W3 then beat Harmony 52-35, securing 4th place in Div 3. W2 had a comfortable win 56-38 against Eclipse Sapphire. This win secured them promotion to Division 1, an incredible achievement for this group, it’s been a VERY long time since we’ve had two teams in the top division, but very well deserved. W1 couldn’t round the day off unfortunately with a loss 42-51 against Eclipse Sky. Securing 2nd place in Div 1, our highest result in this league in my memory.

Well done to all award winners, ready for a new season! Wealden 3 started the day with a 47-51 loss against Istead 1, still very close in the mid-table, but the results today have secured their spot in Division 3 for next season. Wealden 2 then took on OBA 1, with a loss of 26-40, lots of turnovers from the defence but the team wasn’t able to convert them. Everything still to play for in terms of promotion to Div 1, will all come down to the final game! Wealden 1 then took on a young KCNC 2, with a comfortable win 63-39. Good work at both ends of the court. Guaranteed 2nd spot in Division 1 with one game to go. Then finally a win 51-34 for Wealden 4 with some of the U16’s stepping up and not looking out of place at all. They’ve won the league with a game still to play

The team knew it was going to be a tough game with promotion at stake for the opponents. Everyone stuck to the game plan and executed well with a dominant performance from our shooters who earned the coaches POM Emma Adkin at GS, and opposition POM Chelsea Shaw at GA. However, we weren’t able to secure the win, a much-improved performance on the last time the squad played them, with the final score being 37-50 to Goldwyn.
