A wonderful early morning with the talented Wealden 5 young ladies. What can be said when the opening quarter finished on a 24-0 lead. We wanted to go for the highest goals scored possibly as well as the biggest goal difference and they certainly delivered, finishing with a final score of 87-15 and a fantastic 72-goal difference.
The second regional game did not go as well against the very young and talented AP Saints Netball Club. We had a solid start winning a lot of balls, but unfortunately, a couple of unforced errors saw us 3 down at ¼ time. One change at Q2 saw Marianne Watts making her regional debut for us. The excellent shooting from our opponents and its clinical attack saw them really draw out their lead in Q2 and Q3. We had a solid performance in Q4, but not quite enough for the point, final score 61-29. Good run out for the whole squad, with lots to work on. Congrats to opposition POM Tiffany Haughton and coaches POM Maddie Nagel.
